It started on a day filled with inhumanity
When what would be tested
Was our very sanity.
Hundreds were arrested.
We were locked in those cells
Till the seclusion drove us insane.
We waited and waited for the rebels
To free us from this pain.
How long have we been here?
I've long since lost count of the amount.
But what's that I overhear?
It's time for a recount.
Lined up, row by row.
Two by two and four by four
All of us standing in the falling snow,
Remembering the days of war.
We all drop our guard
When we see the dove.
When out steps onto the yard

It's obvious to me
Where your loyalties lie
So don't come around here
Cause I don't wanna cry
We've always been
side by side
But now things are different
And I'm losing all my pride
Maybe it's time
For this to end
Cause this is getting to be
impossible to mend
You don't really care
How much this hurts
But I bet eventually
You'll get your just desserts
You were always
Putting on a show
That's your special skill
Glad that I now know
Now I'm not
half as naive
I see now that
to be free I have to leave
This is my last goodbye
Don't try to wheel me in anymore
I won't fall for your tricks

Literature
Faceless but not Voiceless
You want to be noticed
Everybody wants to be noticed
You're not the coolest
You're not the proudest
You're not one of the mindless sheep playing follow the leader
until the day they send you to the feeder.
You're your own person and you've got your own friends who care about the real you,
People who won't look at you askew.
You're not popular but you've got more then they could ever hope to have.
You may be faceless, but you have a voice.
Not everybody may notice you, but you have a voice.
You have a voice and you have a choice.
You can use your voice because
You have a voice that you can use,
You can scream out:
"Hey, notice
The dark rolling in
reminds me of my sin.
My eyes cloud over with fog,
a thick dark smog.
The thickness of it makes me blind
as it crawls over recesses of my mind.
The voices, they speak--
So loud I wanna shriek.
The voices, they're driving me crazy
And making my thoughts hazy.
I feel I might do something arcane,
Something I can't erase.
Somebody help me
make the voices go away.
Make them go away so that they
can not keep me from being free
and make me anymore of a disgrace.
Help me remove the chain.
I want to spread my wings
And leave behind all these things.
The voices, they keep me bound,
bound here to the ground.
Alas, the pride of our great land
Must eventually end.
Like a wave upon the sand,
Something which we can not comprehend.
The wolf in a sheep's coat,
A demon in an angel disguise.
This is what the Ancients wrote,
The disaster of immense size.
A great wolf will come
With black fur and burning eyes.
He will come at the beating of the drum,
He will bring our demise
For when he comes we will perish
As he brings destruction
To all the things we cherish
Our doomsday introduction
Things are not black and white,
Not one way or another.
For a valiant knight
Will rise to defend his every brother.
A great battle must be fought,

Alone in the dark
My ears they hear
They hear the sounds
Footsteps
Slow but steady
A heartbeat
Fastening it's pace
She's afraid
Yet she does not know why
A smirk graces my face
I pounce
Unleashing the wild animal within
My victim falls
I am satisfied for the moment
Life is sweet
Life is grand
Life is simple
Atleast thats
What I was told
Love is magic
Love is bright
Love is forever
Atleast thats
What I was told
Life is hard
Love is hard
That's what I
